Inspiration

The inefficient process of finding out about Colleges, which college suits you, and if you will actually blend into the culture is what a lot of domestic and international students face. We wish to find a solution to this problem.

What it does

The user registers, or signs into the account if an account is already created. The user is asked a series of questions ranging from their personality traits, academic information, finances, and others. On the basis of this, our AI recommends a set of Colleges best suited for students.

This effectively gives universal access to information related to college planning and eases the process of college applications. Bridging the gap for people who can't afford expensive College Counsellors, this program effectively helps people through their over-strenuous planning for further studies

Challenges we ran into

1. Time Constraints. Our idea of implementation came out to be something that was not viable within the time frame, therefore we had to cut down on a lot of important functionality

What we learned

1. How to extract personality straits of users from a simple QnA.
2. Knowledge Graphs to boil down large datasets into simpler graphs

What's next for COLLEGEaiD

1. Finish developing our model to curate personalised recommendations along with application guidelines for each user
