Inspiration

As a freshman in college, transition to college and adjusting to college life can be difficult. From internships to research to career fairs, there's a lot of new experiences college students have questions about. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a simple interface that let college students receive quality answers to their questions?

What it does

This website lets college students receive quality, step-by-step answers to common questions such as career fair preparation and campus involvement by just clicking on buttons corresponding to common questions! No more sifting through Google results to find good articles!

How we built it

This project uses React and the OpenAI ChatGPT API.

Challenges we ran into

Properly configuring the API and environment variables was a bit difficult to figure out.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of how I was able to format ChatGPT's responses to be a nice-looking list instead of a blob of text!

What we learned

I learned how to use external APIs.

What's next for College Personal Assistant

If this was more realistic there would be more questions and a filtering function.
