Inspiration

As current high school students, we were inspired to create a website that is helpful to students in similar circumstances. The idea of a college finder, a website that suggests colleges based on your wants solves most of the inconveniences and uncertainties of the college process.

What it does

Our program allows users to choose the major of their liking, and our program outputs possible colleges that fit their needs.

How we built it

We built the code from scratch using Replit and found the data of the colleges by hand using the internet. Our code consists of the main features of a website.

Challenges we ran into

We found that manually inputting the colleges into our data was pretty lucrative, so we are limited to 10 or 11 colleges. We also found that the time given to complete the project was limited, so we didn't fulfill the features that we wanted.

What's next for College Finder

We expect college finder to have a wider range of colleges and their information, including a search bar that allows users to input more specific selections, and we hope that our website gives reliable and accurate information.
