Inspiration
We were inspired to create College Financer because as college freshmen we all have found that there were many things we weren't taught about that are really necessary to survive. We have had to figure out loans, paying rent, and budgeting transport and grocery costs, among others.
What it does
College Financer provides users with basic financial resources, like information about federal student loans and minimum wages, as well as tool to calculate how much spendable money an individual has after paying for necessities such as groceries or rent each month.
How we built it
College Financer was built using Unity engine, and coded in C#.
Challenges we ran into
Although all of us are computer science majors, none of us are taking C# classes, we are currently learning C and Assembly. Unity is structured in a way where C# is the only language that can be used, and we were not very familiar with it prior to starting our project.
