Oftentimes, first generation students do not know where to start when researching future careers. With this database, students can view the future careers their undergraduate majors can provide them.
My inspiration for this project would be to aid low income first generation students in discovering the different majors they can pursue in undergraduate and the abundance of future careers they can have in the future.
## What it does
The code is a menu that allows the user to input what they need, which is the choices of calculating their possible college undergraduate tuition, learning more about post undergraduate careers, and the best colleges for the selected majors.
## How we built it
I built this code using Python. In the code, I used a while loop to loop the menu until the user ultimately quits.
## Challenges we ran into
Some challengers that I ran into would be the visual aspect of the code since Python is currently the only code language I have been learning.
## Accomplishments that we're proud of
An accomplishment that I'm proud of would be the procedures that I used to make my code shorter and easier to look at and change.
## What we learned
From this hackathon, I learned that coding is really intensive at some points and that trial and error is really needed to successfully build a functional code.
## What's next for College & Career Database
As far as the future for the College & Career Database, I plan to possibly implement AI into the code to provide continuous updated information that the code contains for future use. I also plan to learn different languages to implement this code as a website instead.
