Inspiration

Dying of thirst on campus

What it does

Displays the location and area of clean water dispensers on campus

How we built it

We used HTML, JavaScript, and CSS while using an open-source map library Leaflet.

Challenges we ran into

Learning HTML, JavaScript, and CSS in 24 hours and then learning how to use the library while also learning git commands to collaborate with our team.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Linking the JavaScript functions from Leaflet library for creating markers on the Leaflet map while connecting it to checkboxes made in HTML for responsive and accessible navigation.

What we learned

How to work as a team, the use of git collaboration tools, basic Web Development languages, and the use of open-source libraries.

What's next for College Campus Water Fountain Interactive Map

Expanding to other colleges and allowing users to upload their own images of the water fountains on their campuses with the location to properly update our interactive map.
