Inspiration
The college application process was very challenging and overwhelming in many ways. We had questions as a hgih school seniors like what to major in? What colleges to apply to? How to write the common app and the essays?
What it does
This website connects high school seniors to college freshmen to provide them mentorship and make their transition to college much easier.
How we built it
We used front-end development. We used HTML, CSS, and JS. We used the Bootstrap framework along with backend attempts for our virtual chat room with PHP.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge we faced was doing the backend development for the virtual chat room. Due to the time constraints, we found it difficult as a team to overcome this. However, we were able to present a good deliverable to overcome our initial backend development problems with our strengths in frontend development.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We, as a team, are proud of our communication and responsibility from each of our team members. The fact that we all came from different backgrounds and yet, we were able to collaborate together on this project and get a successful model is a big achievement in itself.

What's next for College Buddy
We plan to take this website to the next level by not only fixing bugs, but also by running several prototypes, before launching it into the market. We want to reach out to as many high school students as possible, so that they can have more support than we did during our college application process.
