College Bot is an AI-powered study copilot that helps students manage academic tasks, plan studies, explore college resources, and make learning simpler and more organized.
Inspiration As a college student, I understand how difficult it can be to manage assignments, study plans, and college information in different places. I wanted to build something that brings these things together and makes student life a little easier. That's how the idea for College Bot started.
What it does College Bot is an AI-powered college and study assistant designed to help students organize their academic life. It brings together tools for study planning, task management, reminders, and academic support in one place, making everyday student tasks easier to manage.
How we built it I built College Bot using React and Vite for the frontend and Python with Flask for the backend. I used Google Antigravity as my development environment to help write and organize the code. My focus was to create a clean, simple dashboard where students can access useful academic tools without unnecessary complexity.
Challenges we ran into One of the biggest challenges was bringing different features together in one place while keeping the interface simple and easy to understand. Organizing the frontend and backend was also a learning experience. I am continuing to test and improve the assistant so that its features are more reliable and useful.
Accomplishments that we're proud of I'm proud that I turned an idea into a real project with its own interface and frontend-backend structure. Building College Bot helped me move beyond learning concepts and start applying them to a project that addresses a problem students can relate to.
What we learned While working on College Bot, I gained practical experience with React, Vite, Python, Flask, and organizing a full-stack project. I also learned that creating a useful application takes more than a good design; the features must work properly and provide real value to users.
What's next for College Bot Next, I want to improve College Bot accuracy, test and strengthen its AI integration, and expand its academic resources. My goal is to make it a more reliable study companion that helps students manage their academic tasks and find useful information more easily.
