Inspiration
We wanted to make a browser based collaborative calendar that groups could contribute to.
What it does
The idea is to have groups contribute to the calendar to try and limit conflicts and allow for more frequent meetings.
How we built it
We built what is currently finished using just HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for all of the webpages, logic, and formatting, and we set up a database through MongoDB.
Challenges we ran into
CORS policies, interfacing with MongoDB, and raw-labs (a serverless computing platform).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we have found some new tools to experiment with. Also, we had fun brainstorming ideas.
What we learned
I personally feel more confident in my ability to use MongoDB in other projects, and my teammate will continue to discover new technologies to better fit the project at hand.
What's next for Collaborative Event Planner
I may work on it as a side project occasionally. My teammate wants to collaborate more with the raw-labs community.
Built With
