A lack of communication during college classes

What it does

Connects like-minded people looking for a study partner

How we built it

We started with MongoDB and the backend. We created a wireframe of the UI with Figma and fleshed it out with HTML and CSS. We then used Flask to connect both the front and back end to allow the user and the database to communicate with one another.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting to the online database system. Creating a matching system. Hosting on a public domain.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The design of the website. Our ability to integrate the different parts of code together.

What's next for Collaborate

The next step for Collaborate is to create an algorithm to match people together based on their data points. Additionally, we would like to integrate a small chat system to agree on study times and locations. A more in-depth profile viewer that allows the application to become a strong competitor to other social media platforms.
