CollaboRate
Project Idea:
Considering an interactive custom clothing and clothing ordering system. Using various categories and options within categories.
Possibly including visual design creation portion (for designer? Both designer and user? to use in design creation):
Include various design integration (import and export their various files).
Also basic file and image submission for drawings and ideas, etc.. Include basic to "more than" drawing program to sketch ideas and send back and forth during customization process.
Ability to export whole collaboration into various files (file cpnverter), and display them in various files. For hard copies, to save in records and portfolios, and to assist in collaboration outside of program.
Sharing features (always showing some sort of ownership...shared user/designer if neither has officially claimed design). Show collabs or design options, anything within project.
Unless user or designer requests that their submissions **not* be shared.*
Provide option within collaboration interaction (design previews and final submissiom) and with all individual sketch or design submissions, some form of "Allow free sharing? Y/N?".
Incorporating either automatic previews based on selections, designer submitted previews based on user entry, or both (form based entry previews and allowing for further "more info" customization to be drawn or rendered by designer or user and submitted for the orher's viewing).
Options to lock ideas with "copyright" or user identification:
Options available at any point in the communication process.
Include within ownership process, communication between users as to intention to claim design ownership and at what point.
"Rules & Regulations agreed to" must be created for design ownership in case of lack of agreement. Available in FAQ, help and "small print".
Option within help section: to print/download report (within help section) of all communications to date if user/designer has any "ownership" claim objections. With referral/link to whatever resourse they'd refer to with related concerns.
New Content Submissions:
Possible option to input new design options and categories. Or to submit them to us for confirmation.
Ability to submit new content to all areas. Directory, design sketches, design deacriptions, etc.
Communication within program:
Email
Messaging
Ability to include multiple people/businesses in a collaboration (more than 2).
Group messaging and group chat (and other communicayions) outside of custom design collaboration available as well.
Ability to add final collaborations completion dates, shipping dates, estimates, etc (optional entry field) to Google Calendar.
Consider adding business directory:
Businesses using program are featured in listings.
Ability to invite anyone or business using a "Collaborate with CollaboRate" (something like that) email request form, or a share feature:
- Use/join CollaboRate to flesh out their directory information and links
- Collaborate right away on a project using CollabRate
- Or join CollaboRate as an ongoing member/designer.
Allow any fashion submissions to be listed along side featured using (paying?) Members listings.
Ability to add any and all new designers/businesses/etc. to directory leads to possibility of new program users and further spreading information about program to new ears and users.
Various Categories (seamstresses, repair, accessories, supplies, leather, leatherworkers, custom, fabric, etc)
Try to design or use search feature to allow locations, "within" location distances, categories, etc.
Also design/use within search feature "sort" options, and possibly "Filter" options.
Consider display options (Title, contact info, etc). And more information options.
- Examples: pull down menues within results to go to the "designer/business"'s various sections (collab., profile, email, webpage, etc), hover brings up quick info display, just click to go to des./bus.'s profile within program or external links, etc.
Consider program also as a marketplace option:
- Links to websites, portfolios, business/designer info, catalog, ordering platform for off the rack items and services, ability to initiate custom ordering request (main program offering).
If including ordering platform (or incorporating existing platform into program):
- Then program will need program design elements for a
- database and cataloging sections
- payments
- storefront (both a basic design section for designers/businesses, and the actual functional visual/input storefront)
Tracking and delivery reporting/linking, user satisfaction reviews (results to be shown on designer profile/business pages).
Or program design elements to seamlessly incorporate an existing storefront program to run in/with our program.
Collaboration section of the program should include completion of custom request/collaboration:
Including final product phase
pricing function (including desired total cost, offers, counter offers, final offer, agreed upon price)
Final ordering process (whether unique to our program or integrated with online shopping programs such as shopify). Segue from collaboration agreed cost for agreed on item(s) description information entered into proper data form areas for check out process and invoiving/order information.
Decide if using a unique shopping program or integrating an existing platform (such as Shopify):
If unique shopping interface, we need to devise or connect to some sort of user/designer issue report/resolution solution.
If shopping function is unique to us, it also needs shopping integration, payment, automatic messages/set user information (set for designer...s&h, crafting times, return policy, etc.).
If integrating the shopping portion, [Research This]... is purchase issue resolution taken care of primarily with payment programs? Does this service reside within the shopping platform. Are issues resolved with business quality or state regulatory programs (BBB, DUNS, Credit reporting, Small Business Admin., etc).
