Project Name: Collabo By James Bankole, Ryan Puska, Jera Caceres Escobar Our project is a creative-focused social platform designed to help new creators showcase projects, find collaborators, and grow an audience. Users can view multiple columns of content at once, making it easier to scan, compare, and discover projects of interest. Each project is clearly labeled with a category (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Design, Film, Tech), which allows users to browse by interest rather than popularity. Users can browse projects by category and focus on domains they care about most, and also search directly for creators by username or title, giving Direct access to creator profiles. Then there is the creator-centered project card that appears on the columns, which includes a username, project title, Short description, Optional image or preview, and comments. This keeps the focus on who is creating and what they are building, making collaboration more personal and intentional. The platform blends ideas from Canva (creation & sharing), Instagram (visual feed), and Reddit (discussion & discovery), but is purpose-built for collaboration and finding new creators to work with, rather than passive scrolling. How did you come up with the idea? We came up with this idea while trying to piece together a track we should be on, and the was on of the ideas we had was that it was not fleshed out at the start, as we picked a track and tried to look at the creators what to had to do and what was needed in this track. The problem many small creators struggle with is finding each other or someone to help facilitate their ideas, and being discovered if they don't have an audience elsewhere. Getting meaningful feedback from other people in the same field as you can provide much-needed help, instead of being lost in other social media platforms.
