Inspiration
I have recently started my own start-up and been having a hard time recruiting. Then I though of a site specifically targeted towards teens finding other teens to do start-ups with.
What it does
Its a networking site for teens to find like minded peers to help launch their big ideas. Teens can start anything they want! For example they can promote for a hackathon, start-up, organisation, fundraiser, or activism group they want to start. The goal of the site is to help teenagers to find other teenagers to collaborate with!
How we built it
I first started off on glitch using its sql starter site, but had trouble with that. So then I tried using anvil, but doing the html was taking too much time. I ended up using glitch, but basic hello site. I used canva to design logo.
Challenges we ran into
I tried to include a data base so the site is fully functioning, but because I'm doing this solo I had to priotize doing the html and css for the site.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm am proud with how well I used grids in the site. I'm really glad grids exist
What we learned
I learned more about prioritising certain tasks for Hackathons
What's next for Collabi
I would like to include a data base and make all the components fully functioning. And add a mentor role and page. Mentors would be users of the site who are not high schoolers, but would like to help high schoolers.
