Inspiration

Many students have innovative project ideas but struggle to find the right teammates. Team formation often depends on friendships rather than technical skills, shared interests, or commitment. As a result, many promising ideas never become real projects. We wanted to build a platform that helps students discover projects, connect with skilled teammates, and collaborate efficiently within their college.

What it does

CollabAI is an AI-powered project collaboration platform built exclusively for college students.

Students can:

Create and publish project ideas.
Specify required technologies, skills, team size, and workflow.
Browse projects created by other students.
Send requests to join projects.
View professional student profiles with skills, experience, certifications, GitHub, and previous projects.
Chat privately with project members after being accepted.

Building a collaboration platform required connecting multiple modules into a smooth workflow. Some of the biggest challenges included:
