- Select Tool: Precisely manipulate and edit your drawings.
- Real-Time Collaboration Collab leverages Ably's 'useCursor' feature, enabling real-time collaboration at its best. Users can see where others are on the whiteboard in real time, as their names are attached to their mouse pointers. This unique feature enhances communication and teamwork, making collaboration more dynamic and engaging.

Accomplishments that we're proud of
During this hackathon journey, i'm immensely proud of my ability to conceive and develop Collab from scratch, transforming a simple idea into a functional and engaging online whiteboarding platform in a limited time frame. Our most fulfilling accomplishment lies in the successful integration of Ably's Spaces, enabling real-time collaboration, and providing building the project to a minimal level.
What's next for Collab
In the future, i'm excited to further enhance Collab by integrating additional Ably features, such as real-time chat for seamless communication during whiteboarding sessions. I also plan to introduce meeting avatars to make the collaborative experience even more engaging. Additionally, component locking is on our roadmap, allowing users to protect and maintain the integrity of their designs while collaborating with others using Ably's Technology. These developments will solidify Collab as a comprehensive online whiteboarding solution for a wide range of users and use cases.
