CoinRunner

The inspiration for CoinRunner came from the increasing popularity and potential of NFTs and blockchain technology in the gaming industry. The aim was to create a unique gaming experience by combining traditional 2D platformer gameplay with the ownership and collectibility of NFTs and the use of ERC20 tokens for in-game currency.

CoinRunner is a 2D platformer game that uses NFTs for characters and ERC20 tokens for in-game currency. Players can collect and own unique NFT characters, each with its own set of skills and abilities. The in-game currency can be used to purchase upgrades and other in-game items.

CoinRunner was built using the Unity game engine and the third web SDK. The NFT characters and ERC20 tokens were integrated into the game using smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.

One of the main challenges was integrating the NFTs and ERC20 tokens into the game in a seamless and user-friendly manner. Additionally, ensuring the stability and security of the smart contracts was a significant challenge, since it only works on web, testing was difficult.

We are proud to have successfully integrated NFTs and blockchain technology into a 2D platformer game, creating a unique gaming experience for players. The ability for players to truly own and collect unique characters adds a new level of excitement to the game.

During the development of CoinRunner, we gained a deeper understanding of the potential and limitations of NFTs and blockchain technology in the gaming industry. We also learned the importance of user experience and making complex technology accessible to a wider audience.

Going forward, we plan to continue expanding the game and adding new features and content. We also plan to explore partnerships and collaborations with other NFT and blockchain projects to further enhance the CoinRunner experience for players.
