Inspiration
Our inspiration came from the growing demand of cryptocurrencies worldwide and their increasing adoption into our economy. We realized that newcomers into the crypto space have a tough time finding where they can use their coins.
About CoinQuest
CoinQuest is a GPS navigation app developed by Matias Cevallos and David Pinos. It provides users with the location of over 20 thousand institutions that accept and transact with cryptocurrencies.
How we built it
We used Xcode and Swift to develop the iOS app and implement the Google Maps-API into the system. Furthermore, we obtained the location of the points of interest from the Coinmaps API.
Challenges we ran into
We had trouble connecting the Coinmaps Api to our platform and implementing the street view portion of the Google API.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have a product that is close to the product that we initially envisioned.

We learned about Swift and about implementing Google-Maps Apis into our platform
What's next for CoinQuest
We would like to implement an AR capability for our platform that allows users to find points of interest with the help of their device's camera.
