Inspiration

I wanted to build something that helps busy parents feel more confident with money without overwhelming them. Most finance apps focus on numbers, but I wanted to focus on confidence first.

What it does

Coined lets users scroll through small daily actions that are implemented through a simple coin system that encourages progress without pressure. It personalizes tips based on what matters most in their life.

How we built it

I built Coined as an iOS-first app using Rork Opus 4.5 and 4.6. It built it in React native and I used revenue cat for the paywall and subscriptions.

Challenges we ran into

The hardest part was keeping the app simple while still making it feel valuable and complete. Getting subscriptions and paywall timing to work smoothly also took careful testing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I’m proud that the app feels polished, intuitive, and actually pleasant to use. It solves a real problem without making users feel stressed or judged.

What we learned

I learned how important clarity and simplicity are in product design. A focused experience often beats a feature-heavy one.

What's next for Coined

Next, I’d expand personalization and add community features so users can share tips and learn from each other. Long term, I want Coined to become a daily habit tool for financial confidence.
