Inspiration
We found that the first few days of each semester is very awkward, especially as first years, because a lot of your friends from previous semesters would not be in your section. Additionally scheduling is a persistent problem for friends, thus we found that porting the data from webadvisor into an accessable interface is very important.
What it does
CohortApp is a full-stack student social and academic networking platform that helps users discover classmates, manage courses, build connections, and visualize their academic schedule in one place.
How we built it
CohortApp is built with Flutter, Flask, MongoDB and Python. All of these components interact with each other in a dynamic way.
Challenges we ran into
None of us were frontend developers, so building a website was very difficult, but we were able to create one!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to bring a polished deliverable on time that solves the problem that we wanted to look into from the start.
