Inspiration
We were inspired to start a hackathon to help people enter the world of computer science!
What it does
This is the website for the Cohack organization and gives details on all of Cohack's programs as well as instructions for registering for each one of them, including this hackathon!
How I built it
We built it using React, Next.js, and Tailwind. It was prerendered into to a static website!
Challenges I ran into
Abstracting parts of the site by creating different components and ensuring they were all responsive and used throughout the site involved a lot of thought and took us many attempts. Styling things with Tailwind was also a new experience, so we had to learn it along the way and ensure that the margins and design system used throughout were consistent.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The site ended up with a clean and responsive design that was able to handle an event with 300+ signups!
What I learned
We learned about React, Next.js, Tailwind, and organizing hackathons along the way.
