Inspiration
What it does
It's a multiplayer game where each round, players has 30 seconds to choose a meme out of 7 randomly selected pre-sets to react to a prompt, which is pulled from Reddit, and the judge (rotating role) chooses the funniest one. First to 10 points wins.
How we built it
Built the frontend with React, backend with Node.JS, database with Firebase, and a lot of tears.
Challenges we ran into
At times communication between my partner and I were tricky because we were working remotely. Also, delegating different tasks then trying to connect them at a later time proved to be quite difficult.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We've learned how to effectively use socket.io and Node.js backend to communicate with the frontend to create a seamless communication with all clients connected to our server.
What we learned
We learned that we should allocate our energy and resources for more priority tasks first, and hold every minute precious as we ran out of time and fuel to keep us going.
What's next for Coffee Pot
