Inspiration

Wanting to socialize small everyday events.

What it does

The coffeemachine takes a picture of your face, and detects your emotions. Brews a cup of coffee so it fits your mood. If you are happy, you don't need much coffine, if you are sad or angry, you need a lot of coffee to get in a better mood.

How we built it

Using javascript we take picture from the webbrowser and store the picture in firebase. The picture gets an URL which is analyzed with Microsofts API. Using this we get the expression of the face, which is analyzed and gives the coffeestrengh.

Challenges we ran into

Merging the webcam script and the analyzing script. Getting the pictures stored in firebase and retriving their URL.

We finished the project :-)

What we learned

We definitely approved our javascript skills.

What's next for Coffee by Mood

First it should be integrated with the coffee application at the coffee machine. After this we would like to integrate and finish the friday-bar overview, showing whom drank the most coffee the past week. For this we need facial recognition and compare and group the pictures by persons.
