Inspiration
I am a member of the Berkeley Anti Human Trafficking Coalition. Millions of human beings all over the world are forced into slavery with human trafficking. This fact terrified me, and it motivated me to go out an make a change. With so many labels and titles, it's been hard for me to go out of my way and shop ethically. When I would have to research a cafe every time I wanted to try out a new one, it made me want to just give up and stop buy the nearest Starbucks. This constant struggle made me want to find a solution and help conscious, anti-human trafficking consumers everywhere shop responsibly.
What it does
This app helps by both doing the research for you, verifying if a coffee shop is ethically sourced or not. It also incentivizes you to shop ethically by rewarding you with points for exploring and shopping at ethically sourced cafes.
