Inspiration
As developers who are constantly looking for coding experience, we are all too familiar with wanting to take on new projects. We decided to implement our skills in a socially-conscious way to help others.
What it does
Allows developers to be contracted by charities to help build projects.
How we built it
Using JavaScript, HTML and embedded CSS we coded the web design. Bootstrap was used for a cohesive.
Challenges we ran into
Using JavaScript as the main framework, a language that we are less comfortable with, we ran into some knowledge gaps that made the development difficult.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to bring a topic that we are extremely passionate about to the greater global community in an innovative way. It was great to get to work closely with students from differing faculties with varying technical skills to create a finished product.
What we learned
We learned that sometimes even if an idea is good, it may be difficult to implement it with a very short amount of time.
What's next for Coding4aCause
We would like to move the match page further in terms of implementation by having a live chat function to actively connect members of charities with developers.
