Coding in the Bath: Event Manager

Inspiration

We've volunteered for events previously and understand how difficult event management can be. So, we developed a tool to help.

What it does

Allows events to create an account and store data regarding the costs of their event in a database.

How we built it

Using HTML, CSS and JS for the front-end and Python for the database. We connect we connected them all using server

Challenges we ran into

• Developing an understanding of HTML.
• Database bugs.
• Only having 4 team members and having 2 of them leave half way through.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Morgan learned HTML and basic CSS in one day.
• We developed an understanding of how servers work.

What's next for Coding in the Bath: Event Manager

• Developing different user accounts for each event to allow them to manage costs at different levels of access. Scraping shopping data and displaying it on the website.
