Inspiration
Our inspiration was from personal experience in which we both wanted to learn coding but at the time we never had someone to teach us.
What it does
In theory we have 4 lessons in which you can learn the basics about python through games and other questions and then a final 5th lesson in which we give you a challenge question using the concepts you learned in the previous lessons. We only managed to get the 1st lesson done for reasons that will be explained later on.
How we built it
We built this application through visual studio and replit.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many challenges throughout this project but the biggest challenge was that neither of us knew python well and didn't know how to design a UI. Because of this we were learning python and UI design for majority of the day and were only able to complete 1 out of 5 planned lessons.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how much we changed from the beginning of this event to where we are now. It is amazing to think about everything we managed to accomplish in 1 day.
What we learned
We learned many things throughout this journey such as the basics of python, UI design, and how to use a sound file.
What's next for Coding Helper Chatbot
We plan to finish lessons 2-5 for our python course as well as refining the UI. We also plan to create other courses for languages besides python.
