Team Penguin - Track 2 NGOs
When we heard about the Venezuelan humanitarian crisis, we where inspired by the Code for Venezuela team and Dr. Jorge Hernandez to make a difference in any way that we could. We received data collected weekly from doctors across the country on the Angostura platform and got to work, cleaning the data to check for duplicates and missing values. We then built a dashboard for NGOs so that they can effectively visualize the healthcare situation in the country to best allocate resources. We learned a lot about working as a coding team and visualizing data.
We definitely waddled around like penguins throughout this process, but we hope this will be the beginning us our evolution into flying penguins in the world of data analytics!
