Inspiration

As a beginner in the tech industry, I found learning programming overwhelming. There are countless websites, YouTube tutorials, and GitHub repositories, and figuring out where to start, what to learn next, and which resources to trust can be confusing. I realized that learning to code shouldn't feel like navigating an endless maze of information. This inspired me to build CodeXP.

What it does

CodeXP is a platform designed to make the coding journey more structured, accessible, and engaging for learners like me.

How we built it

We started with a problem we personally understood: learning to code can be overwhelming when resources are scattered across countless places. We wanted to unite it and give it to the users in small chunks. We focused on turning this idea into a practical product, prioritizing its core features and user experience while exploring how AI could make learning more approachable.

Challenges we ran into

As a beginner in the tech industry, navigating unfamiliar technologies and deciding which tools to use was challenging. Turning an idea into a working product also required us to break a big vision into smaller, manageable tasks.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of turning an idea inspired by a real learning struggle into CodeXP. Instead of simply accepting how overwhelming learning programming can be, we took a step toward creating a better experience for learners like us. We're proud of the initiative, creativity, and persistence that went into bringing our vision to life and taking another step forward as developers.

What we learned

We learned that building a project requires much more than technical knowledge. It involves understanding users, making design decisions, solving unexpected problems, and learning new technologies along the way. We also gained a deeper appreciation for how AI can support learning when used thoughtfully. Most importantly, we learned that we don't need to know everything before starting; sometimes, building something is the best way to learn.
