Inspiration
Working with maintainers & improving the project is cool! I aspire to solve open-source issues & learn with other fellows. I love contributing to hackathons & communities and have participated in a few!
What it does
In this project, we will build a stock prediction web app using Python and the Streamlit library. The web app will allow users to input a stock ticker symbol and a prediction horizon, and then it will display a chart of the historical stock prices and the predicted future stock prices.
How we built it
_
The stock prediction web app built in Python and
Facebook Prophet offers a promising approach to
stock market forecasting. It allows users to input a
stock ticker symbol and a prediction horizon, and then
it displays a chart of the historical stock prices and the
predicted future stock prices. The web app also
provides information about the forecast components,
which are the different factors that the Facebook
Prophet library used to make the prediction.
The app is still under development, but it has already
demonstrated the potential of using machine learning
to predict stock prices. The developers are planning to
incorporate additional forecasting algorithms and
fundamental factors to improve the accuracy of the
predictions.

Challenges we ran into
I faced error in installing "fbprohet", but then i found module is renamed to "prophet". I used Streamlit for creating fast Web Application & User Friendly UI. I deployed it on Render community version
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I achieved Successful Team Collaboration with 3 of my Teammates & take focused Sprints for utmost Productivity
What we learned
The project is a good overview of the use of the yFinance & fbProphet to collect and monitor data. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The also includes a discussion of the limitations of the system and potential areas for improvement. Overall, the project is a valuable resource for anyone interested in learning about ML or how to use the Python to collect and monitor data & build great models.
