I noticed that many students struggle to plan and navigate their tech careers effectively. Most learners face confusion in choosing the right learning path, tracking their DSA progress, understanding their strengths on GitHub, and preparing for technical interviews.

To solve this, I built CodeMentor AI, an ocean-themed AI-powered career navigation platform that turns scattered learning into a structured and guided journey.

The ocean theme represents exploration, growth, and direction — just like a student’s career journey.

CodeMentor AI helps students and aspiring developers by providing:

🛠️ How I built it

I developed CodeMentor AI using a full-stack architecture:

Frontend: React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS Backend: Node.js, Express APIs: GitHub REST API, Google Gemini API Deployment: Render

The frontend focuses on an immersive ocean-themed UI with responsive design and smooth interactions. The backend handles API requests, AI responses, and data processing.

I integrated AI features to dynamically generate:

One of the biggest challenges was integrating multiple APIs (GitHub + Gemini) while ensuring performance and reliability.
