Inspiration
During college hackathons, we observed that many students struggled to find the right teammates. Even skilled students were unable to participate effectively because they lacked proper connections. This inspired us to build a solution that focuses on team formation.
What it does
CodeMate X is an AI-powered platform that connects students based on skills, interests, and compatibility. It helps users find teammates, join projects, and collaborate efficiently. Features like Smart Matching, Revival Hub, and Gamification ensure better engagement and productivity.
How we built it
We built the platform using a modern web stack with React for frontend, Node.js for backend, and MongoDB for database. AI-based matching logic is used to recommend the best teammates. Real-time features and notifications enhance collaboration.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was designing accurate matching logic and ensuring smooth real-time interaction. Balancing simplicity with advanced features was also difficult.
What we learned
We learned how important collaboration is in real-world development and gained experience in building scalable and user-focused systems.
