🧠 Inspiration

In many rural areas, Thalassemia remains undiagnosed until major symptoms appear often it's too late for simple interventions. We were inspired by the need for an affordable, fast and accessible tool that can assist in early detection. With rising awareness about genetic disorder and the power of data-driven health tech, we wanted to build a solution that could support all the people with quick prediction based on basic blood reports. Additionally, our tool aims to Guide Patients by suggesting the next steps, such as seeking medical attention, listening common symptoms, and offering General doctor -like assistance to raise awareness and encourage early consultations

💡 What it does

Our tools act as a smart communication layer that strengthens the connection between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clarity, support and follow through. It offers:

  • A secure chat platform where patients can ask questions and doctors can reply directly.
  • Simple educational content that explains medical terms, lab reports, and treatment plans in easy-to-understand language. -Medication and appointment reminders to keep patients on track.
  • A ** symptoms tracking and daily health logging** feature to help patient monitor their condition.
  • Privacy first feature like Encrypted data, Login authentication, and consent-based access to protect patient information.

🔧How we built it

We used a combination of development and design tools to bring our idea to life, focusing on functionality, accessibility, and patient privacy. Here's how we built the project:

  • Designed all app screens and user flows using Zapier tool to clearly visualize the user journey from onboarding to chat, health education, and tracking.
  • Built educational modules in a modular format that can be easily updated or localized for regional languages.
  • Ensured data privacy and access control using secure authentication, limited data sharing permissions, and basic encryption practices.

🧩 Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we faced was building a functional chatbot without writing code. Since we used no-code tools like Zapier and OpenAI, integrating them to create a smooth, intelligent conversation flow took a lot of trial and error. Another challenge was trying to add advanced features like file and image uploads. Most no-code tools don’t support this directly, so we explored alternatives like Google Forms and OCR tools, but couldn’t fully implement it within the time limit. We also faced limitations with debugging and testing, since many no-code platforms don’t offer full visibility into the logic once deployed. Despite that, we managed to build a working chatbot that responds intelligently and supports patient-healthcare communication.

  • Enable file and image uploads, so users can submit prescriptions, reports, or photos and receive context-aware responses using ** OCR and AI**.
  • Enhance privacy and data security by integrating secure storage and limiting access to sensitive data. -Train the chatbot with medical content to provide more reliable, focused responses (while making it clear it’s not a replacement for medical advice).
  • Deploy the chatbot on multiple platforms, including _ WhatsApp, web apps, or mobile apps_ for easier access.
  • Conduct user testing with real patients and healthcare providers to refine its usability and impact.
  • Upgrade from no-code to a full-code version in the future for more advanced customization and control.
