Inspiration
I wanted to create a playful website where users can both challenge their programming knowledge and enjoy some tech humor through memes.
What it does
The website offers a dual experience: a game where users guess programming languages based on code snippets, and a section for viewing random programming memes.
How we built it
We used HTML and Tailwind CSS for styling, along with JavaScript for functionality. The game fetches code snippets from GitHub and generates multiple-choice questions, while the meme section pulls images from an API.
Challenges we ran into
Ensuring the randomness and diversity of code snippets while avoiding errors in fetching data was tricky. Also, managing the difficulty of the multiple-choice options posed a challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully integrated both the quiz and meme features into a cohesive site, providing an engaging and interactive experience.
What we learned
We gained insights into handling API data, improving user interface design, and balancing the difficulty in quiz games.
What's next for Code & Meme Mania
We plan to enhance the game with more diverse and challenging code snippets, refine the meme selection process, and introduce additional features for a richer user experience.
