Inspiration
Donations are important and theyre the lifeblood of many non-profits and whether they be financial or material they all matter so at least getting something started for them is important.
What it does
Right now it was going to serve as just a general info page for the donations and to motivate people to give as much as they can without pressuring anybody to feel obligated.
How we built it
We just used react and looked into the Stripe API.
Challenges we ran into
Given that we ended up losing two team members we couldn't get too much done and a lack of experience and knowledge left us still wanting as we couldn't implement too much functionality and a proper proof of concept.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learned a lot from our peers and things about Semantics UI and its usefulness.
What we learned
A lot about frontend stuff and making things look nicer and setting things up. My teammate had the chance to learn more things about Stripe and its implementation which was awesome.
What's next for Code For Change, Donations
What's next is maybe to learn more things about what we started and perhaps as a little side project we can work on it a little more but who knows.
