Cybersecurity can be difficult for beginners because many concepts are technical and abstract. We wanted to create a simple, interactive, and practical way for students to learn cybersecurity through realistic scenarios and AI-powered explanations.

What It Does

CyberLearn AI is an interactive cybersecurity learning platform that helps users learn through practical challenges and real-world scenarios. Users can explore cybersecurity topics, answer scenario-based questions, and receive AI-powered explanations and guidance.

How We Built It

CyberLearn AI is built as a modern web application using Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. We integrated Gemini to provide AI-powered educational assistance and explanations. GitHub is used for source control, while Vercel provides a convenient platform for deployment.

We focused on creating a clean interface that allows users to learn by interacting with cybersecurity scenarios instead of only reading theoretical material.

Challenges We Ran Into

One of our main challenges was designing an experience that keeps cybersecurity concepts simple and accessible while still providing useful technical information.

We also had to think carefully about how to use AI as a learning assistant without overwhelming beginners. We addressed this by focusing on clear explanations, practical scenarios, and an easy-to-use interface.

Accomplishments That We're Proud Of

We are proud of creating a functional cybersecurity learning platform that combines interactive education with AI assistance. The project demonstrates how AI can be integrated into a web application to make technical subjects more approachable and engaging for beginners.

What We Learned

Building CyberLearn AI also gave us valuable experience with Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Gemini, GitHub, and Vercel.

What's Next for CyberLearn AI

We plan to expand CyberLearn AI with more cybersecurity topics, additional interactive challenges, personalized learning paths, progress tracking, and more advanced AI tutoring capabilities.

Our goal is to continue developing CyberLearn AI into a practical learning platform that helps students build cybersecurity knowledge and problem-solving skills through hands-on practice.
