Inspiration

We are a group of seasoned data scientists, developers and business managers. We spent large portion of our career dealing with tedious chart making and adjustments. We believe LLM could significantly simply this process, especially in a no code fashion. So here we are!

What it does

This is Your Co-Pilot in Data Science powered by LLM! Code-Char-That is a revolutionary platform to create complex chart with simple language in no-code fashion and generate business insights. Enterprise-level Privacy protection tech incorporated (such as open source LLM that allows locally hosted data). So it’s a virtual “data scientist + business analyst”!

How we built it

We leveraged OpenAI and LangChain API to develop a language model to break down users’ request for charts. The model then generate corresponding Python codes need for that chart and show it in the front end. We designed a clean and professional front end. Our model could not only create and fine tune charts, but also tell us business insights based on generated charts.

Challenges we ran into

AWS model deployment issue. But luckily we found a solution with a very helpful mentor Steven Sun.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are able to reflect the latest development in open source LLM community and incorporate Falcon-40B in our product to protect data privacy.

What we learned

Work as a team and stay humble, and we will overcome any difficulty!

What's next for Code-Char-That

Fully test out on open source LLM such as Falcon-40B to keep enterprise proprietary data locally and reduce data leakage risk.
