Inspiration
A lot of to-do apps expect people to arrive with their thoughts already organized. But tasks often start as fragments: a reminder, an idea, or something that needs doing later. Coby began with a simple question: what if getting organized started with capturing those thoughts, instead of sorting them first?
What it does
Coby helps turn messy thoughts into a focused, manageable day. It gives people a place to capture what’s on their mind and make it easier to see what they can act on.
How we built it
We built Coby around a straightforward flow: capture a thought, turn it into something actionable, and make the result easy to work with. We focused on keeping the experience clear and predictable, so people can spend less effort organizing and more effort following through.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge was keeping the experience useful without making decisions feel mysterious. When an app helps organize someone’s day, its suggestions need to be understandable and predictable. We had to keep the product focused while working through how to make capturing and organizing feel simple.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud to have shaped Coby around a clear idea: getting organized should begin with the way people actually think. The result is a focused project built to make the path from scattered thoughts to a manageable day feel more approachable.
What we learned
We learned that reducing friction at the point of capture matters, and that planning tools should make their behavior clear. A helpful experience depends not only on what an app can do, but on whether people can understand and trust how it helps them organize.
What's next
We’re preparing Coby for its demo and continuing to refine the core experience.
