Inspiration
Web3 gets a lot of attacks, people want to archive stories and moments. This was this inspiration. Think of wayback machine or archive.org but for web3.
What it does
The bot pins any tweet to IPFS permanent file storage that can be accessed even if the tweet is deleted. Easier than taking a screenshot.
How we built it
I used the twitter api, python and selenium to code the bot. The bot is accessible through twitter or through a webapp using a flask server.
Challenges we ran into
Programming the flask server was a challenge. Getting the results to update into HTML was new for me.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud that it is working and being used.
What we learned
I learned a lot more about setting up a web server and displaying information from python into html.
What's next for Cobweb
I would like to add gallery views, more social network integrations.
