Inspiration

We wanted a way for corporate professionals to practice high-stakes communication—interviews, presentations, and leadership conversations—without needing expensive coaching or real-world risk. The idea was to make executive communication coaching accessible anytime through AI.

What it does

Coaching Moments is an AI-powered SaaS platform that simulates mock interviews and presentation rehearsals. It provides real-time and post-session feedback on clarity, confidence, speaking pace, structure, and executive presence, along with motivational coaching and improvement insights.

How we built it

We built the entire full-stack SaaS using MeDo. Instead of coding feature-by-feature, we started with a product-owner-style prompt describing users, workflows, AI behavior, and architecture requirements. MeDo generated a spec-driven requirements.md, then produced the frontend, backend, authentication, dashboards, database schema, and AI integrations in a connected system.

Currently AI integration is disabled in order to save token costs.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was clearly defining the product experience so the AI could generate consistent behavior across interview simulation, presentation coaching, and feedback generation. Another challenge was ensuring the AI feedback remained structured, actionable, and not overly generic.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully generated a production-ready SaaS application from a single structured prompt, including authentication, dashboards, AI coaching flows, and a polished UI. The most impressive outcome was how stable and complete the first working version was with minimal debugging.

What we learned

Spec-driven development with AI dramatically improves output quality compared to ad-hoc prompting. Treating the system like a product team—rather than a code generator—results in more complete architecture, better UX, and faster iteration from idea to prototype.

What's next for Coaching Moments

Next, we plan to improve the AI coaching depth with more domain-specific interview modes, add speech and video analysis improvements, introduce personalized learning paths, and integrate calendar-based practice scheduling. We also aim to refine feedback quality to make it closer to a real executive coach experience.
