Coach Cam

Inspiration

One of the things we noticed is that keeping track of stats is something that requires careful study. Though we know that ai can be inaccurate sometimes, we figure that we could help the coach look back in history a bit faster.

What it does

It takes in video when certain events take place for specific players, enabling a scrubbing back in a timeline to be less wasteful

How we built it

At the moment we're still looking into the technology to train our model to detect it

Challenges we ran into

One of the hardest these is training, however we figure that with the right model and specifically the right person in an industry who has done this before, we'd be able to achieve it. I know someone at GumGum who has done this before with tracking ads within a soccer field, and that was about a decade back. Finding the right trainer would be the challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Ideating this concept took some time, however we were able to pinpoint a good use case for ai and sports based on historical experience in the space

What we learned

That our bottleneck is really having folks who know how to train these models

What's next for Coach Cam

We'd like to think about the web3 part, which would be participating in honing in the accuracy of these models by having the audience be rewarded with crypto for helping us train our model, which will allow them to enter our Coach Cam store, which would allow them to buy merchandise. "I track your player" shirts and other memorabilia.
