Inspiration

Brilliant ideas often die in uncertainty. Too many passionate creators get stuck because they lack business foundations, not knowing where to start, what to validate, or how to structure their vision. While AI tools help with execution, nobody guides the critical thinking before building.

Co-founder changes that. It’s the structured, no-jargon companion for non-business founders, giving them the confidence to turn ideas into real startups. As a product builder, I created this to democratize strategic thinking. Because when more people can build intentionally, we all win: better products, stronger economies, and more solutions to real problems.

What it does

Co-founder is an AI startup co-pilot that guides users through a 5-phase journey from idea to pitch deck. It helps users shape their idea, validate it with real people, build a business case, plan an MVP, and pitch, all while generating structured outputs like market analysis, user interviews, MVP flows, and more.

How we built it

We built Co-founder using:

Bolt for the frontend and experience logic -Supabase for backend services and user auth
Netlify for deployment
OpenAI GPT-4 API for the AI co-founder engine

The core innovation lies in a pre-prompt system that lets the AI guide rich, structured conversations step by step, generating business outputs in real time. The journey is divided into 5 startup-building phases, each with clear, actionable steps.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing simplicity in UX with depth in AI logic

What we learned

We learned that founders don’t need more tools; they need structured thinking. AI is incredibly powerful when paired with good product logic. Pre-prompt engineering is a game-changer for non-expert users. And simplicity takes serious effort.
