We got inspiration from the 1995 film Clueless. There is a scene in the movie where Cher, the main character, is picking out her outfit on a computer. She can browse through her clothing, and the computer will tell her if the outfit matches. Cher's closet from 'Clueless'

We wondered—what if there was an AI that builds outfits for you, taking into account your personal style, weather, and events?

Our AI-powered stylist analyzes your wardrobe, understands your personal style preferences, and curates outfits tailored just for you. It considers factors like weather, upcoming events, and current fashion trends to suggest looks that fit your lifestyle.

How we built it

We used React.js for the front end, Firebase for storage, and a python with flask to make calls to our model.

Challenges we ran into

It was difficult to develop a robust system that understands and adapts to something as subjective as fashion. People grow into their fashion style over time, but also the purpose of this application is to help those who struggle with fashion, to account for this we decided it'd be best to initially start with some basic concepts such as color harmony, weather appropriate, and occasion appropriate suggestions. But as time goes on, it will also take into account the users preferences. Creating an efficient structure to organize and access wardrobe items quickly.

What we learned

From working on both the front-end and back-end, we got a better understanding at building a smooth, user-friendly experience. We also learned how to handle dynamic data and how to Integrate AI in a way that can positively impact people using a real application.
