Inspiration: We were first inspired by hearing that the University of Florida eliminated all Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion positions last week. We believe that these initiatives are critical to the foundations of club organizations. Starting with this we provided an extensive source of resources for club leaders and those interested to run clubs. We also were inspired by the difficulty in acquiring information about clubs.

What it does: Some of the most important features on our site are the Question Forums page and Find Clubs page. Further details are explained on our site, but in Forums Page allows users to make posts about any topic for others to see. The Find Clubs page allows users to find other clubs that they may want to join. The My Account page allows users to see non-sensitive account information. It also creates the opportunity for them to associate themselves with clubs. Lastly, the Information Hub is a compilation of important resources for club leaders. This creates a space where anyone can learn about organizing a club and being a leader of an organization.

How we built it: We built it with a Firebase back end and a React/Node.js front end.

Challenges: One large challenge we faced was the general lack of knowledge in front end and back end development. However, through our dedication, perseverance, and teamwork, we were able to work through a lot of these issues. Another issue we faced at the very end of our project was that we ran out of storage on the Firebase database. This happened with 40 minutes left in the Hackathon.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: We are very proud of the immense amount of knowledge we learned. Edward and Wilson went form having absolutely 0 React knowledge to being capable of building his own website on his own in the last 24 hours. Nick and Jake went from having no knowledge of backend to learning the ins and outs of firebase.

What's next for ClubHub: We are going to add an event planner, where organizations can add events to a universal calendar. This will both help students find events that are coming up and organizations plan their events with or around each other.
