CloudSmiths Water KPIs and Cases Dashboard

Inspiration

We are curious to find out what impact a private company has on the betterment of water and sanitation services in South Africa. Are privately funded service offerings better than what local municipalities are able to provide?

What it does

Our solution is composed of a Tableau Next dashboard featuring Visualizations based on data that we received from our client, the privately funded municipality manager. The user can also make use of agentic analytics (Concierge) to ask questions based on the Visualizations from the dashboard.

How we built it

Pulled data from the client system into the org and stored this data in Data Cloud
Created a semantic model to interpret the data and relationships between the objects, as well as any Business Preferences regarding terms that the users will typically use to ask the Agent questions
Created Visualizations using the semantic model to display charts on the dashboard
Created a Dashboard featuring all of the Visualizations above
Created a Salesforce App and Home Page to display the Dashboard to users

Challenges we ran into

Certain Visualizations, such as a map view, were not available for creation in Tableau Next
There were challenges with generating insights from the existing data without enhancing the current model

We are proud and grateful for the opportunity to submit this solution and see the potential impact that it could have on the community

We would like to refine the model and some of the Visualizations
We would like to expose the solution to stakeholders and get their feedback on improvements and enhancements that could potentially be made
We would like to further enrich the model with data from local municipalities, if such data can be made publicly availably
