Inspiration
I wanted to create an application that connected people with the world, while also connecting them with close friends.
How it works
Integrating Facebook and Firebase to create a powerful real-time messaging application. Clouds are sent as blobs of data to the database, and then relayed to this global feed that acts as more of a live chatroom where you can only see messages if they are added while you're on the screen.
Challenges I ran into
I had a lot of trouble with transitions and removing images that I was creating as data came in from the database.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
This is the first project I created completely on my own, and I am happy with the way the looks part of it turned out.
What I learned
I further developed my skills with Firebase and javascript.
What's next for Cloudly
Definitely the ability to send pictures and to message/get messages from Facebook friends.
