Inspiration

What inspired me to make this was understanding how many responsibilites pilots have on their plate, and what could be done to take away from that strain so that they could make more informed, confident decisions while focusing on managing a safe flight.

What it does

CloudFlite takes away mental bandwith from pilots by giving them a second opinion from the results that their official tools produce like ForeFlight. Cloudflite takes information from the pilot and makes estimations on important information to ensure an increased amount of safe flights each day it's used.

How we built it

CloudFlite was built by first understanding what is necessary to go into the app such as the right variables or the correct functionality of each portion of code. By integrating that idea with fundamental programming knowledge and assistance from codex, it became a reality.

Challenges we ran into

Two very notable challenges that were encountered in the development phase was establishing communication between frontend and backend due to the technical challenges of moving data over and the use of API's and inputing it into the output as API's present a lot of challenges in set up.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

An accomplishment that I'm proud of is the creation of CloudFlite as my first personal project, with the immense satisfaction of the challenge of completing a project in such an accelerated timeframe. Another accomplishment is being brave to learn new things, as many of the concepts implemented in CloudFlite were from self teaching and assistance through Codex.

What we learned

A lot of concepts were learned such as: the use of API's, communication between frontend and backend, and HTML and CSS coding. Non-coding topics that were introduced were the importance of time management and proper planning in a time critical deadline.
