The problem our project solves:
Markets have a tendency to gather lots of people into one small area. This is very dangerous during the current pandemic. And a lot of people do not have access to these markets or they are more endangered than others e.g. the elderly citizens.
The solution we bring to the table:
We aim to resolve this issue by creating an online platform where farmers and small shop owners can sell their products. The challenges come into play when we think about the delivery of goods since we talk about very small businesses that are being handled by 1 or maybe 2 people. Our solution is to provide a connection between these small businesses and the customers through drivers.
Business plan
This platform offers a place for your local farmers to sell their goods online quickly and easily. It enables you to buy products from your favorite farmers without leaving your home. Which prevents gatherings at food markets that are very dangerous in the current pandemic. This technology will be beneficial for both the farmers and the customers since now even if the local markets close, people can buy the freshest, healthiest products in any situation.
On the site, you can register as a farmer, customer, and delivery person.
- After registration, the producer can upload his/her available product and pay a 10% commission for his/her use of the platform after the sales.
- The delivery person can accept any suitable transportation for him/her. The driver will receive a certain amount of money after each delivery.
- The buyer can buy good quality local produce from anywhere that is delivered to his/her home.
- When a producer uploads a new product, customers are notified so they can always buy the freshest products.
- When someone is searching for a product only the farmers in 30 km radius will appear in the results.
- Customers can write a review about products and the farmers.
about the delivery fee:
- up to 5 km: 3 euro
- up to 10 km: 5 euro
- up to 20 km: 10 euro
- up to 30km: 15 euro
depends on the delivery time and the other orders from the farmer.
The priority delivery has an extra cost. The farmer can register on the cloud-market free of charge and only pay a 10% commission after their sales.
The future of this project
This weekend we made an accurate prototype for our project.
- We can make this project into a reality in one month since we are all software developers.
- We need a counselor to help us with any legal issues we might face.
- We need a specialist to help with a marketing campaign.
- We need some advice from the farmers about their needs.

The coronavirus prevents people from going to the markets and buying fresh ingredients from their local farmers. This causes financial problems for the farmers and inconvenience for the customers. The application we developed solves this problem by establishing a connection between farmers and customers online. It even takes a step further by notifying the customer of the freshest products available in their area.
Our solution benefits all three parties in the system: the farmers, the customers, and the drivers. The farmers can sell their products and make money out of it, the customers will have fresh food and the drivers can also make a profit on the deliveries.
The benefits of the application go beyond solving the issues the coronavirus caused. In the future having an online platform for these small farming businesses to move their product with great convenience will have a positive impact on their sales. This will enrich the local economy and encourage people to buy the freshest and healthiest products available. Also, if people are buying local products instead of going to a shopping center to buy products from the other side of the country, we can decrease the amount of pollution and carbon dioxide emitted while transporting. This can have a very positive effect on the fight against climate change.
