Inspiration
We see a patient being ill at home in quarantine. But illness is not like illness and it has different phases. So medical parameters of the patient may be required based on the phase the patient is in, in order to monitor him/her, to give advice or to have prediction about next phases. So customized parameters could be posted from the medical centre to the patient in quarantine at home for remote individual treatment. Now CMSP provides a secure and easy way, to deliver medical data in context of patient’s health status. Furthermore, CMSP offers a good opportunity, not only for patients in quarantine but also for all others requested to stay home in case of lockdown, to get information from outside sources about important information i.e. where to get food, which shop is open or where to get masks or toilet paper.
What it does
Medical centre may send templates of data to be collected depending on the healthy status. So individual support is possible. Patient shall key them in and can share them with medical centre (or ...) including the opportunity to share them with his relatives or friends to support him. For external support and information patients may subscribe additional facts he is interested in (shops, goods, information)
How I built it
The interface to the patient or the medical centre will be mobile devices or any tablet, the platform is built on a secure database and the open interface to information outside will be based on Web interfaces or APIs.
Challenges we ran into
We have to build a central, secure and data protected platform, which collect medical data from the patient, forward them to medical data centres. This platform will be open for additional information by using any Web device or API. Furthermore, the mobile app for the patient and the backend for the medical centres has to be developed.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We are proud if we can make a MVP of CMSP during this Hackathon and to have many supporters to build a great app together.
What we learned
We are just now in a learning curve but we know that it will be essential in pandemic situations to get information quickly and customized.
What's next for Cloudbased Medical Support Info Platform (CMSP)
There are so many opportunities. Chat functionality could be integrated and it could be adopted for any other circumstances or even for everyday life.
