Inspiration
Frankly, I just asked Amazon Q to suggest me a mid complex game with React framework and it did a magic.
What it does
Its a memory game. Player need to flip all the twin matching cards.
How we built it
I have asked Amazon Q to write the code and steps to utilize AWS resources and followed the instructions. I am very happy that I am able to spin up an app just by following the instructions and copying code.
Challenges we ran into
- React version issues. After couple of tries, Amazon Q suggested to use Vite and it is fixed.
- Amplify version issues. AWS suggested to use Amplify gen2 and I have requested Amazon Q to suggest with Amplify gen2 instructions and they worked.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- I have very little knowledge on React and AWS services. Just by following the instructions I am able to launch a public web app with in no time.
What we learned
- Working with Amazon Q
- Some insights on Amplify
- Some insights on react and version dependency issues resolutions.
- Amplify CI/CD integration with github.
What's next for cloud-quest-memory
- Adding leader board, using different memory cards for new game like features may make app look better.
Built With
- amazon-web-services
- amazonq
- amplify
- dynamodb
- github
- react
