Cloud Inventory Management App for a Pharmaceutical Company

Inspiration

Team Power Virtual Agent is one of the five groups of Vibrant Edo youths who over the past one month have been equipped with the skills needed to solve everyday life problems using Microsoft Power Platform. As a customer, have you ever been sold the same item at different prices by different sales personnel over a short time frame in the absence of inflation? Do you as a manager/owner desire to be able to manage and track your goods and sales at a go? These problems and others related ignited our team to build a Cloud Inventory Management App for Pharmaceutical Companies and other business sectors

What it does

Our app enables owners, managers and sales personnel of pharmaceutical companies(and other sectors which have inventories) manage their inventory at a go

How we built it

We created a SharePoint list of the items in the inventory and placed them in different categories We connected the list created to Power Apps We then built a Dashboard and analyzed data using Power BI

Challenges we ran into

Collecting/collating the data needed to be updated on SharePoint We couldn’t integrate Power BI into Power Apps to enable automatic update of data because we needed a premium account

We learnt the power of team work and division of labor Get an on-hands experience on how easy it is to collaborate across Microsoft Power Platform

What's next for Cloud Inventory Management App for a Pharmaceutical Company

Modify the app to enable it be used in other business sectors that have an inventory such as the sales sector Improve on the app as time goes on
